Blutes are the main currency found in Loadout along with SpaceBux, the game's premium currency. In order to remove the unfair advantage which stems when players are allowed to buy in-game power for real money, Blutes can only be earned by playing the game and cannot be purchased otherwise. Blutes are used to buy things that actually give you an edge against other players, such as new weapons.
You can earn Blutes in two ways: from the game's daily prize system or from playing matches. Blutes earned from the daily prize can only go as high as 1000, which is very little, making this approach only a slight bonus. To earn big amounts of this currency you must do plenty of in-game matches. How much you earn at the end of a match is based on various factors:
- Your in-game performance, ie. how much score you accumulated in-game.
- If you won or tied the match.
- If you leveled up from this match.
- If you actually finished the match.
With this in mind, you should consider it twice before leaving a match even if you are loosing. A final thing I would like to mention is that you can temporarily double the amount of Blutes earned by buying a boost, something which is purchasable from the store using SpaceBux.
You can check how many Blutes you currently have by looking at the lower right corner of the screen.
It is very likely that Blutes are some form of Blutonium, the blue-colored material that appears throughout Loadout, but nobody knows for sure what physical form these Blutes actually have.
As I mentioned before, Blutes can be used to purchase things that increase your in-game power. These things are:
- New weapon components.
- New weapons.
- Upgrading components.
Upgrading a weapon component to the next level increases its effectiveness by 10-15%. You can check how much a particular component costs to purchase or upgrade by going into the Tech Tree.
So there you have it guys, that's pretty much all you need to know regarding Blutes. Get playin`, get killin`, and get rich!
